What I Offer

Data Center Automation

Governed AI automation for your data center — fewer 2am pages, faster recovery, full audit trail.

Running a data center or a fleet of hosting servers means living with a constant stream of alerts — most of them noise, a few of them genuinely urgent, and no reliable way to tell which is which at 2am. Data center automation, done properly, isn't about replacing your operations team; it's about giving routine incidents a fast, consistent, auditable response so your team's attention goes to the handful of things that actually need a human.

What's included
  • 24/7 automated incident monitoring and diagnosis
  • Governed L1/L2/L3 action model — human approval on anything irreversible
  • Full audit trail for every automated action
  • Integrates with cPanel/WHM, DirectAdmin, Proxmox, and custom stacks
  • Built on Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, n8n, and Claude AI

What this service covers

I design and implement governed automation for data centers and hosting environments, built around a three-tier model: Level 1 actions (read-only diagnostics — checking logs, pulling metrics, running health checks) run fully autonomously. Level 2 actions (safe, reversible operations like restarting a hung service or clearing a full disk cache) auto-execute and are logged. Level 3 actions (anything irreversible — suspending an account, wiping a disk, terminating a instance) always stop and wait for a human to approve, typically via a Slack or chat-based approval flow. This isn't a black box; every single action the system takes is logged with full context, so you can audit exactly what happened and why, months later if needed.

The stack I work with

Monitoring and observability through Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. Automation orchestration through n8n, with Claude AI handling diagnosis and decision-support. Integration with your existing panel — cPanel/WHM, DirectAdmin, Proxmox, or a custom stack — rather than asking you to migrate to something new. Secrets and credentials are handled through HashiCorp Vault, never hardcoded into scripts. If you already run a monitoring stack, I build the automation layer on top of what you have rather than replacing it.

Who this is for

Hosting providers and MSPs running enough servers that manual monitoring has become the bottleneck — typically once you're past a few dozen instances and incident response starts eating into everything else your team should be doing. It also fits data centers that want AI-assisted operations but are (correctly) wary of giving an AI system unsupervised control over anything destructive. The governance model exists specifically to make that concern a non-issue.

Questions

Frequently asked

No — it handles the repetitive, well-defined incident types so your team can focus on the ones that actually need human judgement. Most engagements reduce alert volume and time-to-resolution rather than headcount.

Level 1 actions are read-only, so a wrong diagnosis has no operational impact — it just doesn't help. Level 2 actions are reversible by design. Anything with real consequences requires human sign-off before it happens at all.
